Akira DVD?????

Is it impossible to purchase this movie in DVD format?
I cannot find it in any stores, and on amazon, all the sellers who were offering the movie in DVD have discontinued their product.

I probably could download it, but I would rather pay $15 and get it on DVD solely for the convenience of being able to watch it on a TV.
I only have a desktop computer, so sitting in this wooden chair for an hour or more to watch a movie would just ruin the entire experience for me lol.

I have the DVD but I don't remember where I bought it from. I picked it up for $5 or something on a discount rack.

I bet if you can get it on Amazon, you could get a shop to special order it for you.

If I could find a copy again here I could send it to you as a trade. I have done this with other people on HF before with books etc.

They go more into detail, I especially like the parts about the cult who warns about the reincarnation of Akira
