As for an all encompassing work, Final VII of course blows not only every video game soundtrack ever made away by light years, but is also on par with the likes of Edvard Greig, as proven by the orchestra who play the songs live.

I liked the intro to FFVII. I can also remember a really beautiful song playing after Aeris died. I haven't heard any of his music for a long time, having not played any of the games.
